Forgiveness

Forgiveness

What a wonderful word is forgiveness, some of the most beautiful words have to do with healed relationships. I think it is good
to occasionally unpack scripture and see for ourselves what the Word of God has to offer us on the subject.

MARK 11:25
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, FORGIVE them, so that your Father in heaven may FORGIVE
you your sins.”
Ephesians 4:32
“ But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously FORGIVEN you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love.”
Matthew 6:15
“But if you do not FORGIVE others their sins, your Father will not FORGIVE your sins”
Proverbs 17:9
“Love prospers when a fault is FORGIVEN, but dwelling on it separates close friends.”
Daniel 9:9
"The Lord our God is merciful and FORGIVING, even though we have rebelled against him."
Psalms130:3,4
“If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.”
Ephesians 1:7,8
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the FORGIVENESS OF SINS, according to the riches of His grace which He made
to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.”

WOW!!! Forgiveness according to the riches of His Grace, which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.”
Read this verse in The Passion Translation and you will get a bigger picture of what this means to each of us.

“For it was always in his perfect plan to adopt us as his delightful children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so
that his tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his grace for the same love he has for the Beloved, Jesus, he has for
us. And this unfolding plan brings him great pleasure!”

The word forgiveness used here is: aphesis means “to send away” or “to set free” (from bondage).
We need to remember that God is rich in grace and He has made this abound toward us. We then should be rich in grace that
abounds toward others.

Forgiveness is something we can give only because we have received forgiveness of the highest order.

We love you and this week I found myself consciously praying for you of and on all week.

We believe in you, Pastor Cleddie and Gaynell
