HEART TO GOD AND HAND TO MAN

HEART TO GOD AND HAND TO MAN

Sending you Valentine’s Greetings and blessings to all our faithful friends in the Love Month of February.

Do you ever pick up carry out food for lunch? I want you to think of this letter today like a sack lunch. Consider it something easily eaten and digested for life on the run.

Self-appraisal is like selling a house, you know what the house inspector is going to find will need to be repaired or disclose before a contract is signed. Too often, I find that people are very self judgmental, sometimes to the point where they become their own worst enemy. In counseling sessions through the years, I have even had to tell some people, “You are being too hard on God’s friend and that is yourself. God loves you more than you love yourself.”

In today’s world many have begun to think of themselves as a non-entity, a mere nobody in spite of the fact that God has regenerated and renewed them. God has made them His dear child and brought them into His eternal family to manifest His abundant life and providence through them. I have learned it is hard to love others when we live with a low evaluation of ourselves.

Something I read, is good to remember:
The richest wealth is wisdom,
The strongest weapon is patience,
The best security is faith,
The greatest-tonic is laughter,
The finest of all is love,
And the greatest accomplishment is keeping your mouth shut…

AND THE BIGGEST SURPRISE OF ALL, IS THAT IT IS ALL FREE AND ACCESSIBLE TO EACH AND EVERY CHILD OF GOD.

I have a question for you, how long do you spend in front of the mirror each day? Did you know the Bible speaks of the heart as being like a mirror?
“Just as water reflects a person’s true face, so the human heart reflects a person’s true character.” Proverbs 29:17

There is a probability that it is more important to take less time looking at our reflection in the mirror and more time looking into our hearts. This week it dawned on me how happy the father may be when we choose to give Him our hearts. I want my heart to be like a Valentine Card I exchanged with friends in elementary school. Looking back there was more to that exchange than we all realized, for love really does make the world go round.

Real ministry started in my life when I gave my HEART TO GOD AND HAND TO MAN. This is a true lesson today, for each and every one of us.

GayNell and I love you and hope you enjoyed this carry out.
