PRAYER KEEPS YOU FROM SIN AND SIN WILL KEEP YOU FROM PRAYER
William Caldwell was an amazing evangelist. I saw more visible miracles in his ministry than anyone else I have ever known. He was an unassuming man who preached to millions of people. Recently, when speaking with Pastor Vernon in Sri Lanka, I was able to tell him of his friendship and how our church in Houston had helped to build his church in what was formerly known as Ceylon. Also, Kyle and Angie partnered with One by One in building a Palmyr’s Playhouse in that war torn nation.
Caldwell was the evangelist whom God used to bring signs, wonders, and miracles to Sri Lanka. Brother Caldwell was a man of prayer. I was in his home where he stayed, and he only came out once a week for a walk or to visit with the pastor. He hid himself away in prayer. He did one thing at the close of each of his meetings that I have never forgotten. He would have the congregation sing a song that went like this:
When you pray, will you pray for me, For I need your love and your prayers. And when I pray, I will pray for you. I will whisper your name in my prayers.
