The Value of Integrity

Often undervalued, but never overstated, is the importance of integrity in the Christian’s life. Many people seem to struggle with the idea of Divine direction in their lives, but should it be that way? There are many ways given to us in scripture by which God directs our lives.

Personally, I have always loved the way that God leads men and women. One of the most important, but not so glamorous methods by which we can be led, is by personal integrity. I would encourage you to cut this out of your bulletin and tuck it away in the pages of your Bible, for I have found comfort in it.

1. 2 Sam. 24:24 – David’s integrity ‘guided’ him not to give God an unrighteous offering.

2. Gen. 14:21-24 – Abram’s integrity ‘guided’ him to refuse the unwise acceptance of a gift.

3. Ruth 3:11-13 – By his integrity Boaz was ‘guided’ to respect the rights of someone else.

4. Gen. 39:7-10 – By his integrity Joseph was ‘guided’ to refuse an improper offer.

It may be that you needed a word like this today. I believe God can guide you with His eye, and “His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches you”.

Said the sparrow to the robin, “I would really like to know why these anxious human beings rush about and worry so”. Said the robin to the sparrow, “Friend, I think that it must be that they have no heavenly Father such as cares for you and me”. (Author not known).

I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!
