Special Announcement from Pastor Cleddie Keith

To begin, let me to encourage you to pray for our President, Donald J. Trump, his wife Melania, and his family, as well as for his staff, his cabinet, and the team he has assembled to combat the present crisis. We are all are made aware of how fluid this situation has become by the rapid measures that are being called for day by day. It is a global crisis with a worldwide impact on the lifestyles of millions of people.

I want to remind you that for the past 11 months we have hosted the Appeal to Heaven meetings, the third week of each month, with people from all over the world gathering with us to pray for the seven continents of the earth. Rick Curry has been our special guest for these special weekends, and the timing has never been more important in light of the present danger. This was a special emphasis on prayer and intercession because “Our God so loved the world”, which could have been orchestrated by no one other than God, Himself. He is Alpha and Omega and knows what we have need of. In compliance with our President’s directions, and our desire to protect the people who choose to worship with us from week to week, we have canceled our special weekend with Rick Curry, Todd Smith, Luke Varvell, Tim Woodcock, Lenny Hernandez, Billy Price, Scott Willis, and others whom we have advertised for several weeks. We will push the meetings back to a more favorable time, because of the challenges we are all facing in regard to the Corvid-19 outbreak.

Our Friday River Meeting, 7:30 PM, and our Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:00 AM, will be on webcast only (via Livestream, Facebook Live, and Youtube Live) and only staff and essential broadcast personnel will be attending. I want to encourage you and your family to join us, and if you have questions about how these can be accessed, you can call the office and they will give you instructions on how it works.

Issac Watts paraphrased the 91st Psalm in the 1700’s, and it is an encouragement to us still today.

Our God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home.

Under the shadow of Thy throne
Still may we dwell secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone,
And our defense is sure.

Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting Thou art God,
To endless years the same.

Thy Word commands our flesh to dust,
Return, ye sons of men:
All nations rose from earth at first,
And turn to earth again.

A thousand ages in Thy sight
Are like an evening gone;
Short as the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.

The busy tribes of flesh and blood,
With all their lives and cares,
Are carried downwards by the flood,
And lost in following years.

Time, like an ever rolling stream,
Bears all its sons away;
They fly, forgotten, as a dream
Dies at the opening day.

Like flowery fields the nations stand
Pleased with the morning light;
The flowers beneath the mower’s hand
Lie withering ere ‘tis night.

Our God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Be Thou our guard while troubles last,
And our eternal home.

I believe in you, and you are in Gaynell’s and my prayers.

Your loving pastor,
