Have you ever noticed that Joseph and Mary were so poor that the required sacrifice they brought when they presented their son to the Lord for purification was a dove? (Luke 2:22-24) They were so poor a dove was all they could afford to bring. They were not able to bring a lamb to be a burnt offering but what they did not know, was they had brought the spotless lamb who, would be crucified to redeem those made under the law, for they were under it.
THE BLOOD WILL NEVER LOSE ITS POWER
Let’s look at why the Blood Covenant is so important for us to have a strong grip and better understanding of as we move into 2021. Are you aware of all that the Blood of Jesus does for us and what we have at our disposal through the Blood Covenant that He has made with those who choose to follow Him? Let me list a few for you to sink your teeth into: Not only are we redeemed by His shed blood on the cross, but we are also promised power, authority, and covenant rights to call upon Him. This includes blessings for those who adhere to and cling to the truths of the Word of God.
The corporate fast, was spoken of initially in Leviticus 16,
when God calls for a corporate fast on the Day of
Atonement or “Yom Kippur.” Corporate fasting is still very
important for the local church. The world is coming
together and it is past time for the church to come
together. One powerful way of doing that is through uniting
the vision within the local church by corporate prayer and
fasting.
Well, here we are, another week into the longest pandemic on record. This is a year of lessons learned, and we cannot look back for looking forward. Do you find it strange that Christmas movies have been playing on television for the past six months? I have even heard people talking about this strange addiction. Why do you think this is happening? It is because, built into the Christmas Message are faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love. I have to admit, I have watched a few, myself along with GayNell. Each of these made for T.V. movies has a happy ending and that is the message the producers, the screenwriters, and the broadcasting company are attempting to communicate. It is called subliminal suggestion, and the advertisers believe the viewers will buy more of the products that are being advertised during the broadcast.
For over half a century I have watched from the bleachers as some people allow everyone uses them. Think
about it families allow family members to use them night and day. Their time is consumed by those who
demand that they spend time with them, and if they do not, it means that they do not love them. This is co
-dependency on the lowest level. Christianity is self-explanatory, in that our lives are to be laid down for
one another. There is a fine line between God using a person and people using a person. Have you ever
heard of boundaries? It is possible to be so available to people that you have no time to be available to
God.
