DO YOU REMEMBER HOW HAPPY YOU WERE WHEN YOU FIRST MEMORIZED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE?

I am an American. I am an American! When I go to Heaven, I will no longer be an American. I am a Kingdom Christian. That means my lifestyle is dictated by my core beliefs. I am not playing a game that I should have to apologize for in this day when God and Country are being ostracized, and historical markers are being attacked.

Last week we were in Bismarck, North Dakota, as a part of a Million Dollar Clothing Give-Away. On Thurs- day morning, we arrived and headed for a radio station to be interviewed in regard to how this all came about. This radio station is situated on the side of a hill, a legendary hill in Mandan, a town named for the First Nations tribe, the Mandan Indians. I stayed with my friends, Ron and Julie, who actually live in a subdivision there. They pastor New Life Church in Bismarck, where Scott and I have held conferences.

Could it be possible to believe some, but not all of the Word, concerning Jesus. As a father, I want to encourage all the Dads to believe and live by every word the Bible speaks in regard to Jesus. In Luke 24:25, we read, “Who were slow of heart to believe all the prophets have spoken.” One father was asked by the world ruler of his day, and in light of who he was talking to, it is noteworthy.

In the late 1980s, I picked up a book in my favorite ever little bookstore on a side street in York, England. The title of the book was FEAR NO EVIL and the author was David Watson, who was an Anglican minister. He was one of the most in-demand charismatic preachers in Europe at that time because he was unique against the dark backdrop of the religious tradition of his day.

Do you believe the Word of God? I found this text in 2019 from 2 Kings 20:16-19: 16-18 Then Isaiah spoke to Hezekiah, “Listen to what God has to say about this: The day is coming when everything you own and everything your ancestors have passed down to you, right down to the last cup and saucer, will be cleaned out of here—plundered and packed off to Babylon. God’s word! Worse yet, your sons, the progeny of sons you’ve begotten, will end up as eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.” 19 Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “If God says it, it must be good.” But he was thinking to himself, “It won’t happen during my lifetime - I’ll enjoy peace and security as long as I live.” Isaiah was speaking of an invasion that later came and Judah was carried off captive to Babylon. What was the problem? King Hezekiah was not thinking of his children and the generations to follow.

ARE WE LIVING IN INEVITABLE TIMES? ARE THE THINGS HAPPENING AROUND US, INEVITABLE? Some- times, words convey meanings that usher us right into the moment. I woke up one day this past week with this word on my mind, playing over and over like a song in a loop. Similar words like, inescapable, unavoidable, imminent are being used concerning what we are seeing in the news today. In spite of the attitude of some, this is not a que sera sera (whatever will be, will be) moment in time.

I began writing these letters in the beginning of the 2020 Quarantine as a way to stay connected with you, knowing that some would not be able to join us on our social media platforms. It has produced in me some questions that I had not thought about in the past. It is apparent that crisis and conflict make us think differently. This being the case, I have come to the conclusion that religion and morality, which at one time were without a doubt married, are now in some churches on the verge of divorce, or it may already be the case. We just did not see the notice in the newspapers.
