THE EIGHT TWENTY BLESSING

You may have never heard of his before. It is a transformation scripture that can change the way you think. Is it possible to be born again and not realize that God’s plan for you is a process of prosperity and blessing in each and every area of your life? This could be a wake up call for you this morning, but you will be the judge of that.

“To the law and to the testimony if they speak not according to this word, IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM.” ISAIAH 8:20

Isaiah understood the need to think the way God thinks and he was able to speak out in favor of this possibility more than once in regard to this in his writings. “For my thought are not as your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts than your thoughts” Isaiah 55:8-9.

THE QUESTION IS

Do our old ways of thinking keeps us from moving on into what God has promised and planned for us? Do you have light in you, when it comes to stewardship and giving? Sometimes we have to do some CASTING DOWN. For me, that is a strange choice of words. We understand (casting out) but what about (casting down)?

2 Corinthians 10:5 puts all of us to work. “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” It is as though our mind is like a wild animal that needs to be captured. The NIV says it like this: “We need to demolish argument and pretensions”. That sounds serious to me! What about you?

You may ask, “How can Isaiah’s The eight twenty blessing work in my life?”. It depends on your willingness to live and speak according to His word.

Have you ever stopped to think, who is behind poverty? If, according to God’s Word, it is His plan for you to prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers, then, knowing His plan, it is time for us to think as He thinks about us. When you do a simple summary, you will easily see God is a giver. Jesus is a giver. The Holy Spirit is a giver, and it only follows suit that we should be like them. We have light in us, and when it come to giving, we speak according to His Word.
