The Gospel Of The Kingdom

The Gospel Of The Kingdom

To all our friends who God has providentially made a special part of our lives,

Recently, I was given a very good book THE GOSPEL IN EVERY BOOK OF THE OLD TESTAMENT. It is an incredible resource for those who are on the endless search for Christ as revealed in the Holy Scripture. For those who desire for more in regards to knowing the Lord, this book is a treasure chest of inspired revelation. I would say that it is Jesus at your fingertips and each turn of the page is on a confirmation of His Deity. It is a line upon line, precept upon precept study of Jesus Himself and what better subject could you find to build faith and discover the importance of who He really is.

We live in a day when it seems that many churches have become program centered instead of Christ Centered and a result, men have moved away from the need for discipleship. When it is true that you can find Jesus in all the books of the Old Testament. I actually judge my own messages on how Christ Centered they are, knowing that the Holy Spirit will honor truth when the Lord is lifted up. Lately, I have been compelled to think and speak about His Kingdom. In 1959 the Martinez brothers came to Arlington, Texas and held a revival at the 1st Baptist Church, our High School football coaches took us to those meetings as a team. I never forgot the impression it had on me. Between the two of them they had memorized the entire Bible and were able to quote it verse by verse, one had memorized one half and the other had memorized the opposite half. It was at that time God began to deal with me about my soul, on several occasions I had undeniable encounters and strong convictions, which were the result of my family praying for me.

Let me attempt to share with you the, which were going to change my life forever. Many of you may have traveled by car from Europe to Great Britain and as you do when you are met with a sign as you merge off the ferry ramp and on to the road, IN BOLD LETTERS IT SAYS, GO LEFT. It is because you have entered a new Kingdom and in Great Britain people drive on the left-hand side as opposed to the way we drive in U.S.A. and European Nation. This is a good illustration of what would happen in my life in the coming years. I was now a part of another kingdom and the rules had changed.

Matthew spoke of the Gospel of the Kingdom:
1. Matthew 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the
gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease
among the people.
2. Matthew 9:35
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing
3. Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached, in the whole world for a witness, unto all
nations; and then shall the end come.
When Jesus taught the disciples to pray, listen to His instruction:
“When you pray (It is as though He expected us to pray)…
Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy Name
THY KINGDOM COME
THY WILL BE DONE
ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN…”
The Contemporary English Version of the Bible… speaks of the coming Kingdom.
A Child Has Been Born
6 A child has been born for us.
We have been given a son
who will be our ruler.
His names will be
Wonderful Advisor
and Mighty God,
Eternal Father
and Prince of Peace.
7 His power will never end;
peace will last forever.
He will rule David’s kingdom
and make it grow strong.
He will always rule
with honesty and justice.
The Lord All-Powerful
will make certain
that all of this is done.

This is just one of several Old Testament scriptures that refers to the coming Kingdom. I am sure that remember that the disciples thought He was going to set up His Kingdom when He was here with them. Isaiah is rich with the Gospel in many of the chapters, for instance Chapter 53, who
else could Isaiah, be speaking about but the Suffering Lamb of God. In Isaiah 59 the entire chapter could be about no one but Jesus, “A Redeemer will come out of Zion… My Words that I put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth.”

Take your Bible and read the entire chapter and you will see the Gospel in the Old Testament and
like me rejoice.

As I am writing this an old song came roaring back into my spirit man.

We invite you to join us and bring your miracle faith with you as we pray for the sick and those who have a need. This is an hour where we come into sync as a church family to remove the stone of unbelief and watch the resurrection power of God set the captive free.
