NECK DEEP IN CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

Covered from head to toe with glitter and frustrated with Christmas tree lights, made me think of Genesis 1:16: “God made two big lights, the larger to take charge of Day, the smaller to be in charge of Night; and he made the stars. God placed them in the heavenly sky to light up earth; and oversee day and night to separate light and dark. God saw that it was good.”

Just think about it, each light had a purpose, and you recognize that the job of the sun was greater than the job of the stars. By this alone we can understand, “To whom much is given much shall be required”. What have you had invested in you?

This is a liberating truth, that the stars do the best they can do, the moon does the best it can do, and the sun does the best it can do. Aren’t you glad that there is a greater light than even these? Listen to what Jesus once said: “I am the world’s Light. No one who follows me stumbles around in the darkness. I provide plenty of light to live in," John 8:12. “I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes and trusts in Me [as Savior—all those who anchor their hope in Me and rely on the truth of My message] will not continue to live in darkness,” John 12:46.

By this, we understand that we need to do the best we can to spread the light which sets men free.

I believe in you, and we know that we have a greater knowledge of what the shepherds in Boaz’s field saw than those who were eyewitnesses of the birth of the LIGHT OF THE WORLD.

We Believe in You,

Cleddie & GayNell Keith
