TOP SHELF CHRISTIANITY

TOP SHELF CHRISTIANITY

There are some things you can only see on tiptoe. On tiptoe you can touch things, you cannot fully grasp. I have met some people in life who it seems are always on their tiptoes. They seem to see things others cannot see and hear things others cannot hear. Have you ever noticed how ripe Jesus thoughts were? He brought things that were on the top shelf down to where they were there for us to reach. I was on tiptoe this morning as I read once again from the margin of my Bible old notes on 3 things we need in life.

LIFE TOGETHER; PLURAL

LIFE TOGETHER; PLURAL

They know who they are the PLURALS and we could not get it done without them. They were cook(s) plural, server(s) plural, eater(s)plural, worker(s) plural, operator(s) plural, musician(s) plural, Preacher(s) plural, intercessor(s), giver(s) plural, helper(s) plural, watcher(s), parker(s) plural, cleaner(s) plural, singer(s) plural, grass cutter(s)and weed eater(s) plural. You cannot do 30 straight days of meetings without depending on those who kept the ball rolling and rolling the ball they did.

Word Of His Grace

Word Of His Grace

Several years ago, I wrote down a question I was asked about the blessings of God. God had moved in a generous way preparing us for what we were going to face in the coming years. It was then I dug deep to find sustaining truths and promises to hold on to what God had done in among the member of our fellowship. I then realized the blessings would last for those who had received an abundant provision of grace. I was able to memo many things which I felt were pertinent to this question. I simply asked what is grace?

Dearly Beloved

Dearly Beloved

This phraseology ‘Dearly Beloved’ was in my spirit this morning when I woke up. Paul uses this expression several times in his epistles and Peter only uses it one time. In Romans he speaks and says, dearly beloved, discover the beauty in everyone, get along with everybody, don’t be obsessed with getting even, but leave that to God’s righteous judgment.

WHERE MY FEET TAKE ME; THAT IS WHO I AM

WHERE MY FEET TAKE ME; THAT IS WHO I AM

There is an interesting verse in Ecclesiastes 6 and verse 7. The Message translation readslike this, “We work to feed our appetites; Meanwhile our souls go hungry”. I realize that not only do men do all they can to satisfy their appetites, so does Hell. Solomon had this to say about this, “Hell has a voracious appetite, and lust just never quits”. You will find this in Proverbs 27:20 Adam and Eve bumped into this problem in the very beginning, Flesh lusted for what the Eye saw and Pride just could not say no, to the voracious appetite that was in man as far back as Eden.

THE EVIDENCE OF PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

THE EVIDENCE OF PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

The following was shared by our friend Ernest Anderson in one of his blogs and I thought you would appreciate it as I have. It is about:

THE EVIDENCE OF PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

FAMILY ON DISPLAY

FAMILY ON DISPLAY

I am going to lift the sweet mantle of charity this morning, where love covers a multitude of sins only to take a look back into the stories of Old Testament families.

FAMILY

FAMILY

I have been in a pastoral role, for almost 60 years and my observation after preaching in churches large and small in many nations of the world is that the church is at its best, when it functions like family.
